2016 Marian Pilgrimages with The MIR Group!
Several fundraising events are kicking off now and will continue into the coming months to help youth, young adults, and others who would not otherwise be able to afford the cost of their Marian Pilgrimage in 2016.
Check The MIR Group’s e-newsletter, Facebook page, and website for fundraising dates and locations!
If you would like to sponsor a pilgrimage or make a donation to help offset the cost of a pilgrimage, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or call Carol at (504) 256-3322 to make arrangements.
Dear Friends of MIR,
As many of you may know, Pope Francis will be in Sarajevo on June 6th. I have no doubt that there will be a large contingent of people from Medjugorje who will go there to be at Mass with the Holy Father. I know he won’t be in Medjugorje, but he’ll be close.
In anticipation of his visit, we are joining with other Medjugorje organizations from around the world and locals from Medjugorje in a letter writing campaign to the Holy Father about what Medjugorje has meant in your life. We are asking your help with this effort. Many of you have traveled to Medjugorje and many have felt the effects of Medjugorje without ever leaving home.
What has Medjugorje meant to you? Has your Catholic Faith been enriched by the experience of Medjugorje, whether you’ve traveled there or not? If you had a moment with Pope Francis, what would you tell him about how Medjugorje has impacted your life the lives of others that you know?
Fatima and Lourdes were only approved by the Church after the laity bombarded the Vatican with a serious drive for these apparitions sites to be approved.
The apparitions of Medjugorje, we know, cannot be approved until the apparitions are over, but Medjugorje has proven to be a holy place and a place that renders good fruit – by their fruit you can judge them.
Letters can be addressed to:
His Holiness, Pope Francis
00120 Vatican City
From what I could find online, it looks like postage on a standard sized envelope with a letter to Vatican City should be about $1.15.
Thank you in advance for your assistance with this letter writing campaign.
In the love of Jesus and Mary,
The MIR Group Board of Directors
P.S. The MIR Group would also love to hear your Medjugorje story. If you would, e-mail or snail mail us a copy of your letter for our archives. Thank you!
