We have been encouraged and given blessing to continue with all other MIR sponsored events promoting Marian devotion as noted in our mission statement (see sidebar). This includes continuing to take pilgrimages to Medjugorje and other Roman Catholic sites as they are holy places where the Catholic Church and the confessional are present.

Full House For Opening Ceremonies… They came from nowhere and everywhere, and it was standing room only for the opening ceremony of Maldifest 24! Country by country, at least 50,000 young people from 60 nations all over the world presented their flag at the back altar of St. James Church. The opening Mass was presided over by Fr. Miljenko Steko, the Provincial of the Franciscans in Hercegovina, with 478 priests concelebrating! The theme of this year’s festival is “Faith Working Through Love.”
